A developer is reporting that a number of Destiny 2 players are being affected by a bug in the multiplayer mode.
In a post on Destiny 2’s subreddit, the developer claims to have patched the bug and that the only problem is that they can’t play the game.
Destiny 2’s multiplayer mode, called the “Hacker Mode,” is where players compete to hack the game in order to reach certain objectives, and if they do they will be rewarded with loot.
According to the developer, the hackers can earn up to 20,000 experience points in the Hacker Mode.
The experience points can then be spent to purchase additional items and upgrades in the game’s store.
However, if the Hacker mode is not active for an extended period of time, players will receive an error message telling them to restart.
In an effort to combat the bug, Bungie has released a fix to the game, but it is unclear how this affects the game players are experiencing.
Bungie has not yet released a patch for Destiny 2.
Destiel2’s developer has released an official statement on the issue.
“We’re aware of the issue and are working to resolve it as soon as possible,” the developer wrote.
“We will continue to update this post as we learn more.”
Bungie’s Destiny 2 has been plagued with bugs since its launch, with the developer stating that it will continue “to keep you updated on what is happening with the game”.
This is the first time Bungie has been able to offer a patch to the Destiny 2 community, and the developer has not shared the exact fix for the bug.
