NEW YORK — — The Patriots owner and general manager are set to return to New England’s $25-million-plus salary cap, the team announced Monday.
The Patriots will retain the entire $25.5 million of their salary cap.
The team will pay $2.4 million in dead money and $2 million in guaranteed money.
The remaining $4.5.5 of the salary cap is still available to sign unrestricted free agents, and the team will have room to sign a player with a $1.4-million signing bonus.
A league source told Bleacher Nation on Monday that the Patriots are also expected to retain an additional $2-million in salary-cap space.
