A Paypal hacker has exposed how the hack of a major online payment service went down.
The hacker who used the handle ‘Paypalhack’ published the breach data on his Twitter page on Friday.
The breach happened in July and was made public on Wednesday.
The breach included information on over 70 million users.
The information revealed the bank account numbers of over 5 million people.
The company said it has suspended the accounts of all users who used it for payment.
Paypal has said it is working to restore users accounts.
The hack also revealed that a third-party company, VeriSign, was able to steal login credentials from Paypal.
PayPal is the world’s largest online payment system and is used by more than 120 million people, according to its website.
